Verona Pizza, I said it every other round so I might as well say it again. Kids, don’t judge a cheesesteak because it comes from a strip mall pizza shop next to a Giant supermarket. I did and I will try not to do it again. Conversely, I was very excited for my first visit to Tony & Nick’s. My first trip to Tony & Nick’s was early in my Philadelphia cheesesteak adventure. It was memorable. What will happen when these two cheesesteaks from different worlds collide?

Delaware County vs the whole State of Delaware. Delco Steaks, I’m a big fan. They bought my favorite bakery. They get their meat from Lancaster county. They are very active in the community. Scalessa’s is Wilmington royalty. They are best known for meatballs, butter cake and Donnie singing. I’m surprised Deco hasn’t won March Cheesesteak Madness in the past. Scalessa’s is coming on strong. I’m excited! Roll video!

The new kid strip mall pizza shop next to a Giant supermarket cheesesteak vs Scalessa’s we’ve been cooking amazing Italian food forever. Two very different places meeting in the championship match. The one common denominator is that both places appear to cook several things well. I know first hand that Scalessa’s makes amazing meatballs and butter cake. The pizza at Verona’s looks pretty darn tasty. Enough small talk. The winner is…. I could tell you but then you wouldn’t watch the video.
