I thought this was going to be a match between traditional Philly slab/ribbon cheesesteaks. The Avenue Steaks cheesesteak was chopped. It was a long day. I may have ordered chopped. They have ordering kiosks. Whoever programmed the kiosk did an amazing job thinking of every ordering option. SQ Philip’s was the traditional order through a window.

The battle of two long time Philly favorites. I went to Tony & Nick’s early in my Philadelphia Cheesesteak Adventure. I had just gotten my food blogger business cards and was eager to take them out. I tell the story of that day in one of my videos. In one of my ‘Best Of’ lists I give John’s Roast Pork a lifetime achievement award. My favorite thing about my Philadelphia Cheesesteak Adventure is that it made me go to places like these two. Two great neighborhood bars in the city. I’m from the suburbs. When I hear ‘city’, I envision traffic and congestion. I enjoy going to both Callahan’s & The Sidecar. We do a really bad job of describing The Sidecar’s cheesesteak in this video. Dattilo’s Deli is why I can complain about high priced cheesesteaks. A very good 12” cheesesteak for $10.75. Slap my hiney. A cheesesteak and small tub of homemade rice pudding under $15. Slap the other side of my hiney. Cafe Carmela is a past winner of the Judge’s bracket. Does she have a championship run in her?? Let’s go to the video.
